I read an earlier script with Grievous killing Shaak Ti in front of Obi -Wan at their first meeting. Does anyone know if this still happens? Are they going to establish Grievous killing any Jedi at all? Seems a wasted character to me if he doesn't.

THATS FO SHO! I mean, The entire saga revolved around Shaak Ti's death! It added so much to his character and the plot to have him kill some nameless Jedi!

.... :mfyd:

Thanks for the great answer.... you missed my point completely. Is he a Jedi killer and does he kill any Jedi on screen, regardless of name. I think it adds a lot to his character. Right now he seems to be a coward who talks shit, leaves the trade federation crusier, has a scuffle with Obi Wan and dies. Big woop.

He doesn't need to kill any Jedi onscreen. The fact that he's carrying multiple lightsaber trophies is enough to make the point.

(Thought about an "overkill" pun, but decided against it.)

That doesn't mean he's a Jedi killer. It could mean he simply salvaged them from Geonosis. Maybe Grievous is just a vulture. I personally think he needs to kill Jedi on screen to prove he is a force to be reckoned with otherwise he is just going to be fluff an dthere just for the sake of adding another CGI character.

We don't actually see Hannibal Lector do all the stuff they say he does, but the fact that they say he does it adds to his character.

I can live with it either way... We'll either see GG knock off a Jedi or two, or we'll just know that he's a Jedi killer. His character, it seems to me, is more of a tool for dispatching Jedi and also a symbol of the kind of agression the Jedi are up against.

that's what the clone wars cartoons are for.

there is enough jedi killing in rots already, there really is no need for anyone to see grievous kill only more of them.

He kills several Jedi in the CW cartoons, more people would be prone to watch that than read any SW book or comic. Once ROTS begins, he´s gathered a bundle of lightsabres already. Like Hannibal Lecter, we don´t need to see him killing them on-screen to know that he can do it. (And if you take the cartoons as part of the films, we´ve already seen enough.)
